About Me
Hi! I’m Lisa!
I knew from the second I laid eyes on that beautiful baby boy that I would never be the same. After that first birth I was completely hooked, and supporting families in their birth space quickly became my passion and a huge part of my purpose.
My journey to becoming a birth doula began after the birth of my second son; a hospital birth where I felt supported, heard, and where my wishes were honored. My own experience motivated me to help change the narrative surrounding birth by walking alongside women in pregnancy, helping them to find their voice, and cheering them on as they welcome their baby into the world. I fell in love with the art of telling a birth story through images when I had the opportunity to attend a few births with a friend as her backup photographer in 2019. Birth is truly life’s most precious moment, and I find so much joy in capturing this special time for my clients.
I received my birth doula certification from DONA International in early 2020 and haven't looked back (or put my camera down) since! When I'm not running off to a birth you can find me curled up with a good book and cup of coffee, tending to our garden, or exploring a local state park with my husband and two beautiful boys. There is nothing like witnessing a strong, empowered mama bring new life into the world. I feel so honored each time I'm invited into a sacred birth space.
